Gisela Getty revels in the creative collaboration with the photograph's subject, likening the process to a "love affair", in which she seeks to reveal the "truth" of the people portrayed.

Subject Vincent Gallo says "her photography is beautiful.

She has very good intentions and very good ideas about what it is she does.

She's a brilliant person."

Recently, friend and former Andy Warhol superstar, actress, Maria Smith, brought some of her photographs to Laurie Frank, whose Media Rare Gallery in Hollywood mounts some of LA's most innovative solo exhibits.

Following on the heels of her successful inaugural U.S. show, the Book LA publishes Getty's photos for the first time in the US
